For qualifying students, Arizona ESA covers Gateway tuition in full. Here's what that means for your family, how the funding works, and what to do first.
The Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) redirects the state funding already set aside for your child to the school you choose. Most Gateway families qualify through an autism diagnosis or a current IEP, which can reduce Gateway tuition to $0. Award amounts vary by school district and diagnosis, so admissions will look at your specific case.
Our team walks families through this every week, you won't do it alone.
Apply through the Arizona Department of Education.
Review takes roughly 30 days, so start early. Once approved, funds are placed in your student's account.
Complete Gateway admissions in parallel. The two run side by side, and we coordinate them.
Tuition is billed quarterly. ESA families pay through ClassWallet, and we help you set it up.
Gateway publishes a full annual tuition rate, but it's the figure most families never actually pay. Ask admissions for this year's exact number, and there are no surprise fees in that conversation.
